Central Drainage Area Project Alert

Sanitary Sewer Crew working on Washington Ave and may be working in the intersection of Colonial and Washington later in the week, weather and work permitting.
Road and lane closures along Washington will be the same as on Wednesday September 20, which is that one lane is open, via flaggers, along Washington. If the crew gets to Colonial Ave, a detour will be in place while manhole work is done in the intersection.

Testing of the new water line will be occurring starting Monday in the areas of Dennison, Taylor and Hawthorne. Closures and lane restrictions may be in place from Dennison to Beach Terrace, to include Taylor St. during the testing.

WORK ZONE SAFETY.
Please adhere to flagger direction. The safety of ALL depends on compliance of flagger direction. Please reduce speed through the work zone, as required by law. Police presence will be in place to assure compliance with flagging direction and reduced speed through work zone. Please travel slowly so as to be able to abide by DETOUR and other changing traffic pattern signs.
Parents, please note closures along Washington Ave may delay bus routes in picking up and dropping off your children, as the busses may be stopped by flaggers or need to detour around the work zone to keep all safe.

We sincerely appreciate your patience during this project, and realize the temporary inconvenience this project causes. Pedestrian walkways will remain open when possible and safe. Please do not enter the work zone, or cross the street within the work zone. The work zone is in place to keep all safe.

As always, roads will be reopened after work hours and on weekends.

Thank you again to all for your patience!
