Town of Colonial Beach Receives Official V3 Program Certification
Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program educates, trains employers on recruiting, hiring, retaining military vets
Town of Colonial Beach, Virginia, has achieved official recognition as a Commonwealth of Virginia V3-Program Certified Company. Under the management of Veterans Education, Training, and Employment (VETE), within the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS), Town officials enrolled and recently completed the training requirements for certification. The designation allows the Town to be listed as on the program’s “Certified Companies” website page as a business that has demonstrated it values and commits to hiring veterans.
Colonial Beach Town Manager India Adams-Jacobs said she and acting HR Manager Nate Sulya were eager to complete the training and excited to achieve certification.
“Town of Colonial Beach is a military community. Many veterans and active duty military reside or visit here and we have a close working relationship with Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. It is our honor to partner with Virginia DVS and the Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs to support veterans,” expressed Ms. Adams-Jacobs.
