| | | From the Town Manager’s Desk: Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Spring is in the air—and so are the ospreys! As the days grow warmer and the waterfront comes alive, we welcome the return of another exciting tourism season in Colonial Beach. April is packed with events for everyone to enjoy, whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting for the first time. We kick off the month with a Parks & Recreation Morning Coffee Walk along the Potomac on April 11, followed by the Sip N’ Stroll through downtown that evening. The Virginia Osprey Foundation’s Annual Festival takes flight on April 12 at Town Hill, celebrating these magnificent birds. On April 13, grab your kite and join us for kite flying fun at Town Hill, hosted by Parks & Recreation. The Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt is set for April 19, bringing families together for a cherished spring tradition. Finally, the month wraps up with the CoBe Pickleball Tournament at Torrey Smith Park on April 26 & 27, an event sure to bring excitement for players and spectators alike.
As the town awakens for the season, restaurants and shops are extending their hours, and new businesses are opening their doors. Now is the perfect time to get out and explore—walk along the beach, play tennis or pickleball, take a sunset stroll on the Boardwalk, or simply relax and soak in the beauty of the Potomac River.
Whether Colonial Beach is your home for a weekend, a season, or a lifetime, you’ll find that you fit right in. With its rich history, abundant wildlife, colorful golf carts, boating and marinas, vibrant visual arts, and live music scene, Colonial Beach truly is your Playground on the Potomac!
We look forward to seeing you out and about this season!
Warm regards,
Natasha Tucker, MBA/JD Town Manager Town of Colonial Beach |
